AN IMPORTANT LETTER FROM ARTIE!

OR...
POLITICALLY CORRECT CAPTURED?

SPC Matt Maupin, captured April 9, 2004.  Serving in Iraq in a transportation unit Matt’s convoy was attacked and he was missing after the dust cleared.  He was captured by the enemy and was seen alive on a video tape being held by his captures.  Since this country was involved in wars anyone captured by the enemy was always classified as a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action.

Why is Matt classified as captured?  Do we have to change and make everything politically correct?  Dam these liberals that want everything coated with sugar.  The hell with the liberals and their political correct talk.  Let’s speak the truth and say it like it is.

Matt Maupin is a Prisoner of War/Missing in Action doing what his country asked him to do.  I was told our government doesn’t know who has Matt, and so he is classified as captured.  This has never made any difference on POW/MIA status before.  Captured and missing is POW/MIA and nothing else.

Remember, in the beginning of the Iraq War we had seven American troops captured and classified as POWs?  Big change since then!  Let’s raise some hell and write your Congressmen/women and Senators.  Flood their offices with letters and faxes.  E-mails are not good enough, they just delete them.  This statement (captured) could wipe out the POWs being left behind in future “Wars”, with no laws to protect them.
