Super Kids Day - Soap Box Derby

Rolling Thunder® Ohio Chapter 2 members participated in the 2007 Akron, Ohio, Super Kids Day Soap Box Derby. The Super Kids Day Soap Box Derby allows children with special needs to actually race down the world renown derby race car track called Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio. Chapter 2 members assisted the children in getting lined up and ready to race and also participated in the Derby Downs Parade which allowed the motor bikes to actually make a slow roll down the Derby Downs race track. Much thanks to all those who participated in these worthwhile activities.
Also a big thanks to Darlene Fankhauser for being there to take all of these pictures. Darlene wears quite a few hats for Ohio Chapter 2 - she is a long time Board Member, long time Events Coordinator and Chairperson and also takes the time to be 1st Squad Leader. Thanks for your dedication Darlene and great works on behalf of Chapter 2 and Rolling Thunder® National.
