The mission of this organization is to: (1) publicize the POW/MIA (Prisoner of War / Missing In Action) issue, (2) to educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars, (3) to help correct the past and to protect future veterans from being left behind should they become Prisoners of War / Missing in Action and (4) we are also committed to helping American veterans from all wars.

The purpose of Rolling Thunder® is alive today, to honor our brothers and sisters listed on "The Wall," as well as veterans of all wars, who gave their lives for us.

Rolling Thunder® is alive today to demonstrate to people worldwide that POW/MIAs do exist.

Rolling Thunder® continues to demand a complete accounting of all POW/MIAs and insists on bringing home all live American POWs still held by communist countries.  Rolling Thunder® actively sponsors "search and retrieval missions" into Southeast Asia looking for POWs, MIAs, and the remains of those Killed In Action (KIA).

Rolling Thunder® will continue to fight for the timely return of all POWs and the continued investigation into the fate of all MIAs.  Rolling Thunder® passionately follows the Army Ranger Creed that vows, "I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy . . ." 

Rolling Thunder® will grow and gain strength as long as even one soldier remains unaccounted for.
